LLLC1, “epimorfosis”, intends to organize a Level 3 course of the method Maitland – Concept (Orthopaedic Manipulative Therapy) under the auspices of International Maitland Teachers Association (Ι.Μ.Τ.Α.).
Course contents are meet the educational standards of IFOMPT (International Federation of Orthopaedic Manipulative Physical Therapists).
The course lasts 15 days and will take place
in Athens in 4 parts the following dates:
Part 1: March, 21 – 24 2019
Part 2: July, 12 – 14 2019
Part 3: October, 17 – 20 2019
Part 4: December, 19 – 22 2019
The course fee is 1.940€.

LLLC1 “epimorfosis” keeps the right to change the seminar venue and the Lecturers depending on their availability.
Number of Participants: The number of participants will not exceed 18 people. If stakeholders are more than 18 will be kept waiting list based on the date of the closing of participation (date of down payment).
At the end of the seminar, a certificate of attendance or competence recognized by IMTA will be issued.
Printed material (handouts) will be provided.
The seminar provides clinical practice in real patients (one patient per two participants). Participants (especially of Athens) should ensure these patients.
The course is addressed exclusively in those who have attended the basic course (level 2b).
Course language will be English with simultaneous translation to Greek.

IMTA Certificate of Attendance (Level 2b)
A minimum of 6 months of clinical experience is required between Level 2b and Level.
• Selected clinical syndromes such as shoulder instability, shoulder impingement, cervicogenic headache, lumbar stenosis, and be able to recognise and describe the related clinical patterns as well as demonstrate appropriate assessment and management which is acceptable to a level 3 standard.
• Assessment and management of dynamic control problems related to movement disorders, with special emphasis on pelvis, hip and knee region.
• Advanced skills of manipulation.
• Current concepts in the management of cervical instability.
• Advanced skills in patient assessment and management.

Rolf completed his Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 1984 at the Twentse Academy of Physiotherapie, Enschede, Netherlands. Shortly afterwards he moved to Switzerland where he has worked in a number of hospitals and practices before founding his own practice in Morbio Inferiore, Switzerland. In 2001 he successfully completed the OMT training scheme in Switzerland and qualified as a teacher with the International Maitland Teachers Association (IMTA). In his private praxis Rolf manages general neuromusculoskeletal problems with a special interest in nerve root problems, headaches, tinnitus, dizziness and sports specific disorders. Currently Rolf continues to work in his practice in Morbio Inferiore and teaches Manipulative Therapy in Italy, Spain, Greece, Germany, Netherlands and Switzerland.
John completed his Bachelor in Physiotherapy in Rotterdam in 1976. He has been practicing in private practice in Kempten, Germany since 1988. John attained his OMT qualification in a postgraduate program at Curtin University in Perth, Western Australia in 1994 and graduated with a Masters of Science in Pain Management from the University of Wales in Cardiff UK in 2003.
He is founder and provider of a Pre-Season Screening & Management Concept (PSC) for professional athletes (individual and teams), and is involved in both football (e.g. Korean National Team at the FIFA World Cups 2002 and 2006, currently Head Physio of the Iranian National Football Team) and ice hockey (Dynamo Moscow & Russian National Team 2004-2008).
John qualified as a teacher with the International Maitland Teachers Association (IMTA) in 1996.
Currently John continues to work in private practice in Kempten and teaches postgraduate manipulative therapy, functional elastic taping and pain management in various countries.
He is a past member and chairperson of the educational committee of the Deutsche Verband für Manuelle Therapie (Maitland® Konzept) (DVMT) (1994 – 2007) and is chairperson of the educational committee of the Interdisciplinary Forum for Cranio-Facial Syndromes (IFCFS).
In 2005 John was appointed to the International Advisory Board of the Manual Therapy journal and he became Member of the Standards Committee of IFOMPT
Renée ha terminato i suoi studi “bachelor in fisioterapia” nel 1985 a Rotterdam. Paesi Bassi. Dopo poco tempo si è trasferita in Svizzera dove ha lavorato in vari studi privati e cliniche. Nel1994 Renée ha terminato i suoi studi postgraduati in terapia manuale alla Curtin university in Perth, Australia. Nel 2001 si è qualificata docente dell’International Maitland Teachers Association (IMTA). Dal 1991 al 1994 e dal 1997 fino a 2002 ha insegnato alla formazione di fisioterapia a Lucerna, Svizzera. Lei e stata membro del committato esecutivo dell’associazione Svizzera di terapia manuale “Schweizerische Verband Orthopädischer Manipulativer Physiotherapie (SVOMP) anche nella mansione di Presidente. Dal 1996 al 2003 è stata editrice del giornale dell’associazione Svizzera di terapia SVOMP. Dal 1997 – 2008 Renèe è stata delegata della SVOMP per la IFOMPT. Attualmente Renée lavora a Kriens vicino a Lucerna, Svizzera nel suo studio privato e insegna terapia manuale nei corsi postgraduati in Svizzera, Austria, Germania, Italia, Spagna e nei Paesi Bassi. Nel 2006 ha iniziato il suo studio accademico MSc in “Medical Education” all’università di Berna. Dal gennaio 2010 Renée insegna al programma MAS in “Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy” all’accademia di scienze applicate di Winterthur, Zurigo, Svizzera. Il suo campo d’interesse particolare è lo sviluppo di Curricula e la sua applicazione nella formazione di fisioterapia.
Elly completed her Bachelor in Physiotherapy at the Akademie voor Fysiotherapie in Rotterdam, the Netherlands in 1980. After working in private practice in the Netherlands for a short time she moved to Switzerland in the same year where she has since practised in various hospitals and in private practice. She attained her OMT qualification with the Schweizer Verband für Orthopädische Manuelle Therapie (SVOMP) in 1990 and the teaching qualification „Ausbildnerin Berner Kaderschule“ in 1992. In 2000 she graduated from the University of East London, UK with a Masters of Science. Elly has published numerous articles and book contributions. She is co-author of the 6th edition of Maitland’s Vertebral Manipulation and published together with Kevin Banks the latest edition of Maitland’s Peripheral Manipulation (2005) and Maitland’s Clinical Companion (2009).
After qualifying as a teacher with the International Maitland Teachers Association (IMTA) in 1992 she became Senior Teacher in 2003. She was secretary of the IMTA from 1992 until 1994 and Chairperson from 1995 until 2001. Elly is a previous executive committee member of the SVMP (Schweizerischer Verband Manipulativer Physiotherapie)
Currently Elly is a member of the educational committee of the Schweizerischer Verband Orthopaedischer Manipulativer Physiotherapie (SVOMP). She works in private practice and teaches on pre- and postgraduate courses. Her special interests include the treatment of patients with chronic pain, movement-paradigms as the specific basis for the body-of-knowledge of physiotherapists, paradigms of illness experience and salutogenetic perspectives, clinical reasoning processes, especially narrative reasoning in clinical practice, the psychosocial dimensions of physiotherapy and manual therapy and qualitative research methods within physiotherapy research.
