Jonathan C. Ahladas, MSPT, IMT,C
Jonathan C. Ahladas is a physiotherapist whose professional path has evolved significantly since completing his graduate studies in the United States in 2000. Early in his career, he was drawn to a more holistic and integrative understanding of human healing—an interest that led him to explore a wide range of therapeutic models within osteopathic manual therapy and bioenergetics.
The foundation of his clinical work is Integrative Manual Therapy (IMT), a comprehensive therapeutic framework that blends physiotherapy, applied kinesiology, and multiple osteopathic approaches including fascial, biomechanical, vascular, fluidic, metabolic, biodynamic, and biopsychosocial models. From 1997 to 2007, he trained directly under Sharon Weiselfish Giammatteo, PhD, PT, the developer of IMT, in the United States, an experience that profoundly shaped his therapeutic philosophy and clinical mastery.
Over the years, he continued to expand his expertise through post-graduate osteopathic training in Europe and through immersion in various bioenergetic modalities such as acupuncture, auriculotherapy, the Yuen Method, NAET, reiki and biomagnetic pair therapy. This diverse training allows him to approach patient care through a deeply integrative, multidimensional lens.
Since 2017, he has also devoted himself to teaching, leading the initiative to bring structured professional IMT training to Europe. As lead instructor, he has taught workshops, masterclasses and advanced programs across Spain (Madrid, Barcelona, Seville, Zaragoza, Alicante), Portugal (Porto) and Denmark (Copenhagen). He is also a faculty member in the Master in Osteopathy and Manual Therapy at the Universidad Europea del Atlántico in Madrid.
His academic background includes ongoing studies in osteopathy at Formación Belga Español Osteopatía (FBEO), comprehensive IMT training in Connecticut, a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy from Springfield College, and a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Medicine from the University of Connecticut. In addition, he has completed extensive continuing education in areas such as cardiovascular biodynamics, biodynamic craniosacral therapy, newborn treatment, psychosomatic osteopathy, Barral articular approaches, autonomics, applied kinesiology, biomagnetism, NAET, Sintergética and the Mulligan Concept.
Clinically, he has worked in both the United States and Spain. In Spain, he has been part of the Unidad Médica Angloamericana in Madrid since 2006 and also practices at the International Women’s Health Center. He has previously collaborated with the Center for Holistic Odontology, Centro Kinema in Seville and the Getafe Football Club. In the United States, he worked at the Institute of Integrative Manual Therapy in Connecticut, Jay Kain Physical Therapy and HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital.
He is fluent in English and Spanish. His personal interests include photography, Qi Gong, meditation, cooking, gardening, hiking, mountain biking and traveling.
