Katerina Chrysikou, PT, MSc.

She is a physiotherapist, specialized in the management of lymphatic system diseases and edema after reconstructive and aesthetic plastic surgeries.
She is an educational member of the O.Ed.E.M.A. Academy team (http://www.oedema-academy.com) that teaches seminars in Greece and abroad in collaboration with “Epimorfosis” based on the German model. Through continuous development and education, she is currently:

• Associate – Physiotherapist of ESEA CLINIC for patients with lipedema
• Member of ILA (International Lipedema Association)
• Member of OEE APLESO, the special group of the Panhellenic Association of Physiotherapists for the management of lymphatic system diseases.

She is also involved in the measurement of special compression garments, an essential element in the management of lymphedema, in collaboration with the Juzo Academy certified Mr. Evripidis Triantafyllou.

She graduated from the Technοlogical Institute of Thessaloniki in 2015. Almost immediately after completing her studies, she specialized in the rehabilitation of adult neurological patients with the recognized Bobath NDT method. She worked as a physiotherapist at the Hellenic Society for Multiple Sclerosis, of which she is still an active member with speeches and informative activities at workshops and conferences.

The observation of vascular disorders that coexisted in neurological diseases led her to seek further therapeutic approaches. Thus, she began her training in the recognized Vodder method for Complete Decongestive Therapy of edemas through certified seminars. In 2019, she was awarded the CDT method certification and has since been an active member of the APLESO scientific group of the Hellenic Society for Lymphedema.

Since 2017, she has been working exclusively with patients with primary and secondary lymphedema, lipedema, post-traumatic and postoperative edema, vascular malformations, venous and systemic edema.

In recent years, she has been active in the management of patients with lipedema and patients after plastic reconstruction surgeries. Since 2023, she has been a member of the International Lipedema Association.

At the same time, she is involved in measuring compression garments for lymphedema, lipedema, burns and venous diseases, an integral part of Integrated Decongestant Therapy.

In 2023, she began teaching seminars in Greece and abroad for the certification of physiotherapists in edema management, as an assistant instructor alongside Mr. Evripidis Triantafyllou.

She has successfully completed the Inter-Institutional Postgraduate Program “Management of Aging and Chronic Diseases”, with a thesis on “Knowledge and Perceptions of Health Professionals on Breast Cancer and Chemotherapy”.

She was the co-owner of Physio Project Clinic from 2020 to 2024.
