NDT Method
The Bobath concept is a problem-solving approach to the assessment and treatment of individuals with disturbances of function, movement and postural control due to a lesion of the central nervous system (IBITA 1996, Panturin 2001, Brock et al 2002, Raine 2006).
There are two levels provided for learning the method. The basic level carries out in two 5-days courses and the advanced level carries out in a 5-day course.
According to the IBITA’s course program, at the conclusion of the course the course member will be able to:
Understand the history and ongoing development of the Bobath concept.
Be able to integrate the principles of the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) in their evaluation and treatment of adults with hemiplegia.
Analyse and facilitate efficient postural and movement control in preparation for and during functional activity.
Understand the functional consequences of lesions of the central nervous system
Observe and analyse disturbances of movement and function, and influence these through intervention.
Utilise the principles of motor control, motor learning, neural plasticity and muscle plasticity in their approach to treatment.
Understand the relationship between assessment and treatment, and implement the ongoing process of clinical reasoning.
Adapt and apply appropriate theoretical principles of treatment to the individual patient/client within his environment.
Develop effective handling skills and incorporate them with appropriate environmental and other influences in order to regain function.
Appreciate the importance of appropriate outcome measures to support evidence-based practice.
Continue learning through critical reading, self-evaluation and sharing with others.

EPIMORFOSIS organizes specialization seminars for rehabilitation professionals. I’ve watched a lot. I strongly recommend you trust EPIMORFOSIS for your specialization and lifelong information.
- Alexandros Karagiannidis -
Training, a steady value for more than twenty years now, leads physiotherapy and keeps it at a very high level, well done to George Karambalis and his associates, we owe a lot to all of you.
- Philip Tzimoulis -
The best physiotherapists training institution. It enables the development of the necessary knowledge for clinical reasoning. High-quality training without having to travel abroad.
- Tsoukalas Kotsiris Georgios -
My first steps in professional specialization started with EPIMORFOSIS and continue. It has been with us all these years, covering the need for modern and documented knowledge, in collaboration with internationally acclaimed educational institutions.
- Kostas Poulis -
I have known George Karampalis and EPIMORFOSIS for many years. I’ve had the opportunity to join several clinical courses and I can argue that, at the level of organisation and selection of trainers, they have a high level of recognised prestige.
- Georgia Petta -
EPIMORFOSIS justifies its name by providing high quality courses. George Karampalis operates more like a constant “trainee” and less like an entrepreneur, and this is an additional positive fact in the effort that is put by the workers and teachers of EPIMORFOSIS.
