The course fee is 800€.

In order to finalize your registration and ensure a placement to this seminar, a down payment of 300€ must be deposited.

The Bobath concept (advanced course)

Brief description:
Precise analytical clinical thinking is the basis for specific treatment according to the Bobath concept. It is a challenge to find the cause of the patient’s problems or compensations in daily life.
How can we evaluate the task performance in the daily life of our patients?
We need to understand how important the integration of posture and movement is for the quality of task performance;
What strategies do we use in postural control and how can we modify them according to the demands of the task and the environment?
What is the neurophysiological basis for this?

How do we distinguish between appropriate and inappropriate compensation or whether it is behavioural recovery or merely compensation?
How can we utilise and promote sensorimotor integration to control posture and movement during task performance?

The course topic is analysed and applied to course patients (patients with hemiplegia and patients with SHT).

Learning aims:
At the end of the course, students will be able to:
· Deepen and improve the process of clinical reasoning in patients with acquired neurological disorders.
· Based on the analysis of a function of daily living
o Develop a specific treatment structure with regard to the patient’s individual goals and needs.
o Understand the role of postural control and how to promote the adaptability of postural control for activities of daily living.
o Understand the neurophysiological background and use it to develop therapy.
o Be able to facilitate the specific components required to improve postural control and selective function.
o Improved and more specific clinical skills in treatment, in the context of practical work under the supervision of instructors.

Prerequisite: successfully completed Bobath basic course IBITA recognised!

Testimonials

I have known George Karampalis and EPIMORFOSIS for many years. I’ve had the opportunity to join several clinical courses and I can argue that, at the level of organisation and selection of trainers, they have a high level of recognised prestige.

- Georgia Petta -

My first steps in professional specialization started with EPIMORFOSIS and continue. It has been with us all these years, covering the need for modern and documented knowledge, in collaboration with internationally acclaimed educational institutions.

- Kostas Poulis -

The best physiotherapists training institution. It enables the development of the necessary knowledge for clinical reasoning. High-quality training without having to travel abroad.

- Tsoukalas Kotsiris Georgios -

Training, a steady value for more than twenty years now, leads physiotherapy and keeps it at a very high level, well done to George Karambalis and his associates, we owe a lot to all of you.

- Philip Tzimoulis -

EPIMORFOSIS organizes specialization seminars for rehabilitation professionals. I’ve watched a lot. I strongly recommend you trust EPIMORFOSIS for your specialization and lifelong information.

- Alexandros Karagiannidis -

EPIMORFOSIS justifies its name by providing high quality courses. George Karampalis operates more like a constant “trainee” and less like an entrepreneur, and this is an additional positive fact in the effort that is put by the workers and teachers of EPIMORFOSIS.

- Dimitris Stamoulis -
