Information
We provide training and mentoring for everyone seeking to develop their understanding of the role of sensory processing in neonatal and early childhood development.
Develop your understanding around best possible sensory-informed care with our Sensory Beginnings Master Course. Support infant development and parent connections from birth to two years in antenatal, neonatal, perinatal and early intervention settings.
You will understand how sensory processing is central to infant development and parenting, including the critical role of sensory systems and neurobiology.
And you’ll be able to use this knowledge when supporting parents with their babies’ sleeping, eating, posture and movement skills, play, regulation and relationships.
Using our decades of experience as neonatal and paediatric occupational therapists, informed by research into emerging understanding in this field, we’ve developed this course to share the skills needed to analyse behaviours through a sensory lens, giving you a practical framework and clinical reasoning tool to guide your practice.
Participants, once the course is completed, will be able to:
1) Distinguish the critical timeframes of sensory system development.
2) Describe the impact of sensation on brain development. Identify relevant theory, models of practice, assessment tools and current research.
3) Identify infant behaviour cues and be able to apply these to your assessment of sensory regulation, making sure you provide the best sensory environments to promote infant development.
4) Describe how sensory experiences can facilitate regulation and reduction of stress.
5) Describe how relationships are built on sensory based interactions.
6) Analyse how sensory development and sensory environments help the performance of infant and childhood occupations.
Video, demonstration and case examples will be used throughout the course.

Training, a steady value for more than twenty years now, leads physiotherapy and keeps it at a very high level, well done to George Karambalis and his associates, we owe a lot to all of you.
EPIMORFOSIS organizes specialization seminars for rehabilitation professionals. I’ve watched a lot. I strongly recommend you trust EPIMORFOSIS for your specialization and lifelong information.
EPIMORFOSIS justifies its name by providing high quality courses. George Karampalis operates more like a constant “trainee” and less like an entrepreneur, and this is an additional positive fact in the effort that is put by the workers and teachers of EPIMORFOSIS.
I have known George Karampalis and EPIMORFOSIS for many years. I’ve had the opportunity to join several clinical courses and I can argue that, at the level of organisation and selection of trainers, they have a high level of recognised prestige.
My first steps in professional specialization started with EPIMORFOSIS and continue. It has been with us all these years, covering the need for modern and documented knowledge, in collaboration with internationally acclaimed educational institutions.
The best physiotherapists training institution. It enables the development of the necessary knowledge for clinical reasoning. High-quality training without having to travel abroad.
