Information

Objective

diagnosis3This two day course is designed to support physiotherapists in their clinical decision making process.

At the end of this course you will be able to recognise the most common serious pathologies that might initially present as a musculoskeletal dysfunction.

You will have learned how to include the appropriate screening questions into your patient interview and how to support your hypotheses with screening tests for fractures,  abdominal aoritc aneurisms, and tests for the central and peripheral nervous system including cranial nerves.

The course is approximately 70% theory and 30% practical.

The theory sessions include many case studies to illustrate how physiotherapists can effectively and safely decide

diagnosis2

which patient will have to be seen by a medical doctor and whether this referral is   urgent.

For your own convenience and to avoid waiting times it would be useful if you could bring a stethoscope, a reflex hammer, a medical tuning fork and a diagnostic light.
